Its been a long time since I've made any updates the two images above were done recently the top one appearing in the racing post as an editorial Illustration. The lack of updates has been mainly due to the busyness of the past few months the first part of the year was taken up by preparing for my trip to Nepal which I will make a post about soon, but for now theres these two right here, both done digitally

Self Portraits

Simply two self portraits, these were done a few years ago now, but for the sake of showing a broader spectrum of work I am adding some of my archive work up to the blog.

Static

This was another piece produced using the gum arabic and ink technique with some gouache added as accent colouring. The mood and feeling behind this was one of solitude isolation and timelessness. With several representative elements relating to the characters feelings and sense of lonelyness. I would like to look again at this character and subject matter as I like the technique and composition of media, but I feel that with some larger negative space the atmosphere and character could be significantly stronger.

This was an image I did based around some text and observations of London streets and environments. This was produced using ink, gum arabic and gouache
